MK Lakeside Runners is a small running club. Members are fun runners. Their aims range from  

·        Training from scratch (complete beginner) to 5k

·        Maintaining 5k

·        Training up to and maintaining 10k

·        Training up to half marathon

·        Training up to marathon

 

Weekly run sessions are held at:-

Willen Lake, Milton Keynes

Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Beginners and Improvers at 6.15pm

Improvers at 7.30pm.

Saturday mornings at 9.30am

 

Members are encouraged to run 3 times a week at Club sessions, but we understand if they can only make it 1 or 2 times a week.

 

For beginners we hold 10 week courses to get you running from scratch to 30 minutes or 5k. Please contact us to find out the next schedule course.

We also like to be informed on running techniques etc., and the Club has held Talks on Nutrition and Sports Injuries affecting Runners. The next Talk will be:- What our Running Shoes tells us and Tips on Warmup and Cooldown. These events are also open to Guests, so if you are interested please contact us.

 

We get together for social events ie pre and post celebrations of the Great North Run, London Marathon, Xmas dinner, birthdays etc. Other events have been Yoga Fitness for Runners and Rope climbing.
